Earth Hour Campaign - Leo Burnett Sydney

This case is an incredible example of how to create global activism and mass participation around a cause people care about. The concept is to raise awareness of the perils of climate change and the need for human energy conservation, by simply collectively turning off lights around the world for one hour. 1 Billion people participated worldwide in 2009. This is the beginning. For the handful of climate skeptics I know, regardless of your beliefs, it is an indisputable fact that we do not have infinite energy reserves, and conservation is inherently a responsible action. This work was ushered into being through the ceaseless efforts of the good people at Leo Burnett Sydney.
